Dan Gilbert, Owner/CEO

NSCA-CSCS, USAW, NASM Instructor, ACE-CPT

In his over 10 years in the field, Dan Gilbert has been a leader with proven success. He has helped grow the business of over 50 facilities and has fine-tuned personnel recruitment, developing over 100 trainers in the industry. Throughout his time in leadership, Dan has been a consistent sales record setter, transforming many types of facilities with his own sales model, from large commercial gyms to athletic performance facilities. Dan’s passion lies in connecting with people and finding a way to better their fitness journey.

Giuliana Rossi, Performance Coach

NSCA-CPT, B.A. Kinesiology, ISSA Nutrition

Giuliana’s vested interest in fitness throughout high school led to her pursuit of her Bachelors degree in Kinesiology from McDaniel College. While at McDaniel, Giules was a member of the Women’s Lacrosse Team and gained experience in Athletic Training and Athletic Performance Coaching. Prior to graduating in May 2019, she also completed several high-level internships at various professional training facilities. Her passion for coaching and nutrition comes from a desire to help trainees boost their confidence and achieve their fitness goals.

Nicole Magladry, Performance Coach

B.S. Kinesiology, B.S. Psychology, NASM-CPT

During her time at University of Maryland, Nicole coached in a number of different environments, from 1-on-1 personal training to D1 football strength and conditioning. Her passion for coaching grew out of her athletic involvement growing up, and her current interest in competitive bodybuilding. She completed several coaching internships in college and post-grad, which led her to joining our team. She loves to educate her clients in the process of coaching, helping them understand more about their body, the way it works, and how they can move well through their day-to-day life.

Outside of MadLab, Nicole enjoys her own training regime, spending time with her foster dogs, working on her truck, and cooking.

Nicole is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, and has Bachelor’s Degrees in Kinesiology and Psychology from the University of Maryland, College Park. Nicole can be contacted at: nicole@madlabperformance.com.

Rob Tarver, Performance Coach

B.S. Kinesiology, M.S. Exercise Science

Rob earned his bachelor’s degree from Frostburg State University and master’s degree from Emmanuel University. While completing his degrees, he played lacrosse for both Frostburg State and Emmanuel University. While at Frostburg, he interned with the strength and conditioning coaches, gaining direct experience with the strength and athletic training staff. He also spent time as an assistant offensive coordinator for the Brevard College Men’s Lacrosse team, as well as a strength and conditioning coach. He has also assisted in programming for other sports, including women’s lacrosse and volleyball. 

In his free time, he volunteers as a coach for Randallstown High School boys lacrosse team. He also enjoys playing lacrosse in men’s leagues and playing video games with his friends.

Kyle Nuel, Performance Coach

B.S. Health Behavior Science

With over a decade of NCAA D1 and professional soccer experience, both domestically and abroad, Kyle has a unique approach to training. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Health Behavior Science from the University of Delaware, and a minor in coaching. He believes in not only developing strength, power, speed and coordination, but also mentality. Kyle doesn’t believe in a one size fits all approach. Each individual person/player has the ability to offer something different to their sport and he can help players identify that style of play.

Ricky Claypoole, Performance Coach

NASM-CPT, CNC

Ricky has a passion for many things including fitness, culinary arts, music, MMA, and much more. After becoming more involved in his kickboxing training, he realized he wanted to pursue a career in the fitness space. Improving the lives of all of his clients is truly important to him, and you can tell he loves what he is doing in the process. Whether it’s teaching proper mechanics and form or discussing nutrition, Ricky is always actively working to make training more enjoyable and sustainable for his clients.

Outside of MadLab he is usually playing shows with his band. He also loves working on his kickboxing training and hopes to make his amateur debut soon.

Iggy, MadLab Mascot

Certified in Running, Napping, and Client Experience

Iggy joined our team in 2024 and she helps ensure each and every client in our facility has a top-notch experience. In her free time, she likes to run around with our coaches and her other four-legged visitors, chase after her rope toys, and of course nap in her down time.
